Our Board of Directors convened and resolved to invest a total of USD 68 million in 2025 and 2026 in an advanced forming technology used in the production of LSAW steel pipes at our Panama City facility, which operates under our subsidiary Borusan Berg Pipe Holding Corp., based in the United States of America (USA). 

This investment involves a technology that facilitates the shaping of large-diameter pipes through the stages of converting flat steel plates first into a ‘J’ shape, then into a ‘C’ shape, and finally into an ‘O’ shape. Consequently, our product portfolio will be expanded with smaller-diameter and thicker-walled pipes. This advanced technology will enable our products to be used in long-distance energy transportation projects, as well as in offshore pipeline projects, and renewable energy-focused platforms such as wind energy.

Through this investment that will be operative in 2027, we seek to establish ourselves as the sole domestic manufacturer of products utilizing this modern technology in the U.S. steel pipe market, enhancing our market position through capitalizing on the benefits of local manufacturing over imported alternatives targeting an additional potential annual volume about 150 k tons.
